Reading some of our old news is funny. We have come a long way in the past few months. Slowly, but that is the point right? It is amazing how we have really grown on Lightninghoof. It has gone to a few players playing once a week, to almost a nightly group that slay foozles religiously. Even Erissa is getting into the “How Low Can You Go” game!

News 2/22/06

Since Grunog wasn’t with us this week, I get to make the update.

Burin, Rela, Galstaff, and I went to Blackfathom Deep to do the quests we had at the time. We got all the way to Kelris (sp?) without dying. At all.

And I was the healer, so that’s saying something. Some close calls and a dechristened Room o’ Death made the night all-in-all completely enjoyable. Server problems tried to creep in occasionally with a delay in looting and some randomly jumping enemies, but Lighninghoof held it together long enough for us to finish by about 9 CST.

Hope to see more people on for next week’s installment. Maybe we’ll try to re-tackle Razorfen Kraul if we have a full group?

**NEWS 11/06/06**

Silvermoon:

Most players have moved from Silvermoon to Lightninghoof. Silvermoon is kinda dead for now.

Lightninghoof:

1) Congratulations for making the Level Cap successful!

Talk about a long time coming! Thank each and every one of you for the hard work and patience that went into keeping the level cap idea and working as a team to obtain it. I can’t tell you how awesome it feels to have such a tight knit guild of friends and family. Each of us have made this guild special and I thank you for that. If you haven’t made 60 yet, fear not! We will do everything we can to help you get there.

2) Welcome new members

A pirate is only as drunk as his cohorts. I would like to officially welcome our newest pirates. They are:

Azarock
Ravynwing
Roode
Vonerebus
Wakeisha

We hope we don’t scare you away too fast. Oh yeah, guild hazing is bringing us all alcohol! That way we’ll like you more. =)

3) Guild Night!

Every Sunday and Tuesday night is “guild” night. The goal is to let every member be a part of the activities for that night. There will be cases when the group of pirates will break into group to so instances, but the majority of the time I want to focus on something that we can all do as Pirates. Mostly Raid PVP, but to me that is hella fun. If you have any ideas for guild night please send them us here. All ideas welcome.

3) Galstaff Memorial Fund

No, he’s not dead but we honor him just the same. Galstaff (Andy) was one of the original Pirate members. He was there every Monday/Tuesday night for guild night and was one bad arse Mage. He recently joined Peace Corps and is over in Africa. Before he left, he donated his fortune to the guild and wanted to share his wealth with all Pirates. Very un-piratey if you ask me. In honor of what Galstaff means to us, we will donate 20 gold to every member that reaches level 40. This should help in getting your mount.
