No. I’m definitely not talking about our guild! I have been a member of The Older Gamers for a few years and have really loved being a part of their family. It is a group dedicated to gamers 21+ old who are more into teamwork than “omg i fukn powned u!” The group has members from all over the world so it assures you that there will always be someone to play with.

I posted about our guild there in hopes that maybe we could find some mature and responsible players. God knows that we need at least one in our guild, right? So check them out. Let me know what you think. I personally love the idea and have moved with them from game to game often. I usually lose interest in a game and don’t talk to them for a while though which makes me sad.

I posted a few days ago that there was a rumor about the 360 and Amazon.

It’s true. So if you’re one of the lucky 1000, enjoy! I don’t think I can type fast enough. Macroing it would probably work the best. Hmmmm

A lot of gaming related websites are passing around a rumor that the XBOX 360 core system will be $100 this Christmas on Amazon.com. Ok, that’s probably bullcrap, but it’s good to know that it is a possibility. At least it does get XBOX in the spotlight for a few minutes in a deluge of Wii and PS3 coverage.

That may be a rumor but I have a fact. If you’re a hardcore gamer you better pick up this beauty. Because we both know that this is the only skin you’ll be seeing in a while.

It is scientifically proven that if you sit and stare at a clock, time will slow down. However, when you play games or are sleeping time speeds up. I’m not kidding! How many times have you sat down to play a game for just a few minutes and then realize that you had just played 4 hours of Guitar Heroes while you left your grandmother in the car outside. Far too often. Sleeping is the same. You lay down exhausted looking forward to some sweet sleep. As your eyes close the alarm starts blaring that it’s time to get up and get ready for another day of working for a living.

Time is tricksy.

Even as I ramble on with this post time speeds up. It would probably help if I could type more than 3.258 words a minute. People who hunt and peek type crack me up. I know it is probably not their fault for not having a keyboard shoved into their mother’s uterus when they are an embryo, but I still laugh when I see them struggling away. The only time I don’t laugh is when they are holding me up from doing some computer work on their system. P L E A S E M O V E O U T O F M Y W A Y ! I swear I can type cat for you! PROMISE.

But now that I think about it (yay time is going by), the first time I REALLY learned to type was playing a video game. I did take a “keyboarding” class in high school and it sucked. We had to memorize the keys on the keyboard and recite them to our teacher. LAME-O. We also had some raggedy-ass DOS based program that would time how many words we could type a minute. I failed that thing so much I think I gave up. Thank GOD my mother was a teacher in the school system. Oh, KK did ok. He doesn’t need to have gotten any more than 10 words a minute.

The game where I HAD to learn to type was Ultima Online. Maybe that is why I look so fondly on the game now. It was the only one of its kind in the day. It was a game where you played with thousands of people so you had to be able to tell them not to kill you while you were mining. (FYI even when you can tell them not to kill you you will be destroyed all the same.) They should have just titled that game “Ultima Online: Keyboard Instructor”. If my teacher would have given me UO to help learn how to type, I would have worn the paint off those keys. Cybering in class would have been such a turn on.

Why did I just think of Willowmane? Scary.

Yes I know I’ve been slacking on Guild updates and stuff. I blame it on the kittens! Starting today, I am going to wax my testicles and also update the guild page. Isn’t that cool?

I’m also thinking about putting together an excel file (or some other format) that will hold items that we have are putting into a guild bank. The way it works is I will be sending all the green/blue items that I get from dungeons (and those I don’t sell on AH) to an alt named Guider. I will then ask you to do the same if you want. I will then say that I am going to create a list of said items but in reality I will just sell them to homeless gnomes on the side of the road. After I become a millionaire off this scheme I will dance around naked with my waxed body in the wind!

OR I’ll really put the items in list form, offer them to guildies either free or for the price that you would get them from a vendor (which is usually WAYYY lower than AH prices). I will then send all the proceeds to our Guild bank pimp. This will help each of you get some cash for your mounts at 40 and epic mounts at the big 60! Woot and stuff!

I’m gonna update the roster too so our new guildies won’t think we hate their guts.
